Wet Games
Wet Games explores bullying and discrimination practices within public and private adult relationships. Drawing from my personal experience of being bullied, this work analyzes the triangular loop of bullying: ganging up, victimhood, and inflicting harm.
Each custom-made console represents one of these roles, and the audience activates my video performances through interaction. I also highlight the concealed pleasures inherent in each role, inviting the audience to confront their own repressed guilty pleasures.
Console I represents the act of inflicting harm. It focuses on the hidden pleasure derived from control and the power of punishment.
This console creates an intimate space for one participant. The screen is tilted towards the ground, providing an overhead perspective.
In the game, the audience can play with the joystick, andthe red button.
Console II represents victimhood. It centres on the subtle enjoyment and lightness of being the victim. This console creates an open space for one participant.
The audience has no control over the video; they simply stand beneath the screen, which is positioned above the object.
In this performance, I compare broken glass from Console III’s performance to the camera as an act of harm.
Console II represents victimhood. It centres on the subtle enjoyment and lightness of being the victim. This console creates an open space for one participant.

When both press the yellow buttons on either side, a glass plate shatters over my naked body. To watch watch the trailer please click here
